- Although smaller in size they are very similar to the white truffle. They are found in the same region as the white truffle and run later in the season.
- Flavor? Bianchetto Truffles aroma and scent are best described as light in the beginning progressively taking on intense garlicky tone later on. Overall a less intense pungent aroma than its cousin White Truffles
- Species: Tuber Borchii Vittadini Versatile, the Bianchetto takes on the same role as the white truffle. Its strong flavor and aroma can be used to accompany almost any dish with a sauce. Season: Mid-winter to spring, roughly January to April
- Shelf Life: 1 week, kept into a refrigerator at 37.5 °F (3 °C ), wrapped in paper towel. We recommend consuming the truffles as soon as possible. In order to ensure top quality enjoyment, we recommend consuming the truffles soon after they are received
- Culinary Use: Due to its intense garlicky flavor Bianchetto truffle is often used to prepare first course meals such as risotto or pasta tagliatelle. Great pairing with butter, cheese,chicken , veal and game (hare, pheasant, woodcock, wild boar)

tried to order the winter truffles but they went out of season so instead i got the bianchetto. Very pleasant surprise, quick delivery, packaging was great, styrofoam insulated box, with plenty of ice packs inside.The batch we got was fresh ..we used it the next day over steak and fries and dinner was a success. Will order again. Make sure you get the truffle slicer as well as you will need it.
